Our Funding Efforts
Our desire at The Busby Foundation is to act as a liaison and advocate for Central Texas families touched by ALS. Through our dedicated efforts, we have developed key relationships with those who may be able to help. We work very closely with the regional and national chapters of the ALS Association, as well as local resources that can sometimes fill in where other services fall short.
Along with building a community of resources for those afflicted, we are able to distribute funds we raise through holding local charity events, grants, gifting campaigns, and donations.

Our Gifting
The Busby Foundation is focused on easing the burden of every day challenges ALS brings to families and individuals. With our resources, we have helped Central Texas families in many different areas. Not only do we provide financial “gap” assistance until federal agencies’ aid begins, we are able to fund other needs, such as the construction of handicap access features in their homes and assist with home healthcare and nursing aid.
With the progression of the disease, there becomes no ability to work or drive. Supplying transportation vouchers helps with hospital visits along with support for medical and living expenses helps to alleviate the pressures on other family members and caretakers. Contributing to a loved one’s child’s education with the Educational Gifting Program is another way we can support all members of the family.
In any case, The Foundation shows compassion and demonstrates that there is a community of support for them. Through our Making Memories Program, we are able to create a lifetime lasting memory for the family is a treasured way to bring joy for the limited time they may have together.
Our Leadership
The Busby Foundation’s Board of Directors is led by a group of professionals, dedicated to upholding the mission of the Foundation. Several members have served for over 5 years, and each member, regardless of years served, has worked tirelessly for the betterment of the Foundation by sharing their time, talents, and treasures.
