How to Get Help

While no one can feel your pain, we have traveled this pathway and we know a lot about the journey that ALS brings with it. Through our dedicated efforts, we have developed key relationships with those who may be able to help, along with the assistance we may be able to provide.

Our Process

At the Busby Foundation, requests for aid are considered without discrimination on race, gender, religion, sexuality, or nationality. We begin by receiving and vetting applications to determine if we are the best organization to help the candidate given location and aid needed. Through discussions with partnering organizations, individuals, and candidates, we strive to fully understand the situation and needs.

Currently, our efforts are to help families living with ALS is limited to Central Texas. If you or a loved one is living in Central Texas and are in need of aid, please fill out our application. This application can be downloaded, filled out, and emailed back to us at [email protected].

Once the application has been submitted, you will be contacted after it is internally reviewed with our staff who will reach out to you with any questions or reports of its status.

The Busby Foundation helps families living with ALS in Austin and the surrounding areas that are considered Central Texas.

If you or your loved one lives in Central Texas and is in need of help to overcome challenges of ALS that you or your family are experiencing, please start by completing the Assistance Application (Microsoft Word Version or PDF Version).
Available Resources
Though the understanding and a search for a cure for ALS is happening at a slower pace than other diseases, it is happening. There are many resources available to learn about the disease, to understand how you can get help, and to find support for you and your family.
